Single-strand hand-dyed cotton in variegated colors.

Wildflowers have a matte finish when stitched. Use one or more strands as needed to suit the stitch and ground fabric. You will get a tweed-like effect with multiple strands. One strand is approximately the same weight as flower thread; between #8 and #12 pearl cotton in thickness. Colors match the Watercolours pima cotton line and can be used successfully to give different effects in the same project, for example, in hardanger embroidery.

Each skein is hand-dyed and may include 2 to 7 colors. Dyed by hand in small batches, each skein is unique, and there may be some variation between dye lots.

Hand-wash only, and test with a small amount of thread before washing. Wildflowers threads are dyed using environmentally-friendly dyes and techniques. While most colors are practically permanent, some reds and dark colors may bleed slightly during washing. Test first!
