My Story from Jeannette Douglas Designs. This sampler is a treasure for stitchers who enjoy the journey as much as, or more than, the destination. Each motif has a special meaning, all surrounding themes of love, family, friends, and home. You can stitch it as shown or include variations. A Canadian flag option is included with the chart. As Jeannette says,
Although this did represent myself, I think that I am pretty common. We all love our stitching, our faith, our homes, friends and family, this is our human bond and it ties us together.
The sampler contains three side-by-side sections, done in a palette of solid and variegated silk. Many “specialty” stitches are used – there are diagrams and written instructions for all of them, making this design approachable – if you have patience (and Google), your initial skill level with specialty stitches will not be important.
