My Stitching Box from Jeannette Douglas Designs.

Jeannette says,

The box top, smalls and sampler were stitched on 32 ct. We have gone from commonly used 32ct fabric in 2018 to 36 or 40 or higher here in 2023 as the silk threads have better coverage and we like the finished look, but this one still has 32 count. The smalls include: 2 scissors fobs – you can choose which one you would like, or do both, scissors pocket, needlebook, pincushion, cube, and sampler. All finishing instructions included in chart. The cut linen size we used was 21 x 27 and I will put a layout here.

As an FYI– For the sampler box top -to fit the space it needs to be on 32ct unless you adjust and make another border or some such thing. On the cube it has a whole side that is over one, that also becomes more difficult on a higher count.

An embellishment package includes all the silk threads and all the buttons and charms needed to complete the piece.

This design is stitched in luxurious silk. Many “specialty” stitches are used – there are diagrams and written instructions for all of them, making this design approachable – if you have patience (and Google), your initial skill level with specialty stitches will improve with each section!
